These rules define what enters the archive, how facts are verified, and how corrections are made. They exist so that readers can judge how reliable a story is without having to take our word for it.
Every event links to the original post or recording. A retelling in someone else's video, or a screenshot with no link, does not count as a primary source. If a recording has been deleted, we say so and state what the claim rests on.
A fact is something the source can confirm: the stream happened, the post went up at a given time. A position is what a person claims about motives, agreements, or someone else's actions. Positions are published with attribution and are never presented as truth.
If a side has responded publicly, the response is added to the timeline. If it has not, we note the silence rather than invent a position on their behalf.
Personal data: addresses, phone numbers, documents, or legal names the person has not disclosed themselves. Private messages published without the consent of those involved. Material about minors, unless the event itself is public and significant. Accusations of crimes without a link to an official decision or to a public statement by one of the sides, clearly marked as a statement.
A correction is made when a verifiable source is attached that refutes or clarifies a claim. Disagreement without a source is not a correction. Edits are recorded in the story's change history and are never removed retroactively.
Anyone mentioned may send us their position. It is added to the timeline as that side's position, with no edits to its meaning and no commentary from us.
We remove a story if the event turns out not to be supported by sources, or if the publication breaks these rules. We do not remove stories because someone finds them inconvenient.
We take no payment for publishing, removing, or changing stories, and we do not act in the interest of any side.
